Some interesting tidbits in Rock & Roll History from October 26th.

1962: Bob Dylan begins recording his second album, The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan. This Desert Island Disc solidified his status  as a phenomenal songwriter and social commentator.

1963: Bob Dylan played Carnegie Hall.

1967: Pink Floyd played the first of three shows at The Fillmore in San Francisco.

1980: Paul Kantner, a founding member of the Jefferson Starship, suffered a stroke during a recording session. Fortunately, he made a full recovery.

1981: David Bowie and Queen released the song “Under Pressure,” which they recorded in Montreux, Switzerland.
