Goodbye to Les Paul

I just got back from a memorial for Les Paul.

Les was a local boy and he’s revered here in the Milwaukee area. Consequently, his family held a closed casket public memorial at Discovery World Museum prior to their private family service.

I am profoundly grateful for Les Paul and his many contributions. He was truly a genius.

Without him there would be no rock & roll.

Without him I don’t get to have this goofy, funky & groovy career.

Goodbye, Les. You’ll live forever in our hearts.

Les Paul made a difference in my son’s childhood when he started playing guitar and mandolin. Now, that he’s older, he’s interested in the technology behind music and is recommending every one to consider contributing to the discussion on Linkedin about Les Paul’s over-dubbing and multi-tracking inventions can directly relate to for example the field of telecommunications.
