Legendary British blues/rock guitarist Robin Trower headlined a packed rock stage last night and delivered another in a long line of fantastic shows.

I fell in love with Robin Trower the very first time I heard his Bridge of Sighs album, which remains one of my Desert Island Discs. Trower is the real deal, and last night he gave us five songs off that classic album.

The mid-show run of “The Fool and Me,” “Day of the Eagle” and an extended “Bridge of Sighs” was absolutely spellbinding. He closed the scorching set with “Little Bit of Sympathy” and the encore brought us the classic, “Too Rolling Stoned.”

I was mesmerized as this legend once again demonstrated his mastery of the guitar and gave us a night to remember.

An awesome way to cap off day one of the 42nd edition of Summerfest!
