May 1, 1945: Rita Coolidge was born.
Rita has a hauntingly beautiful voice and was immortalized in Leon Russell’s classic song, “Delta Lady.”
Every time I listen to Mad Dogs & Englishmen, I have to stop whatever I’m doing to close my eyes and listen to her breathtaking version of “Superstar.”
