February 17, 1972: Pink Floyd debuted  the song “Eclipse” in London at the Rainbow Theatre.

Although Dark Side of the Moon wouldn’t be released for more than a year, this was the first time Floyd played anything from that record publicly.

I gotta be honest…this makes me want to put on The Wizard of Oz and fire up the bong.
