January 31, 1979: The Clash commenced their first tour of North America, with the great Bo Diddley as their opening act.
What a fabulous pairing. Thirty years later I’m still disappointed that I didn’t get to catch that tour.
Google The Clash. How fitting is it that every listing on page one carries the warning: “This site may harm your computer.” I’d imagine the band wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.
